Week 2

I learned that a lot of other people in the class also listen to music a lot. Most of the objects that were brought in were repeated somewhere in the class. As for our fundraiser we are planning on selling cookies at Piggly Wiggly on Saturday from 9am to 1pm. We are also thinking of selling other things as well to insure we reach the goal of $300. I told my mom and dad about what Main Street Philanthropy is all about and they both agreed that what they do is great and that having this opportunity is amazing. The other person I told was my friend and she said she really liked the sound of Main Street and just the class itself so she was considering taking it next year.

Week 2

While doing the brown paper bag activity I learned that my group members like to listen to music and hangout with there friends. For your fundraiser we are making cookies and puppy cow after school this week. We will be selling the goods at the pig from 9am-1pm. All of our profits from this bake sale will be going to the food pantry.

Week 2

From the brown paper bag activity, I learned that a lot of kids play sports and others listen to music. Then my group decided we were going to raise money for a charity that helps children with physical and mental disabilities. For the fundraiser we decided we would buy and sell wristbands. They were a huge hit last year and we hope they are this year also. We haven’t really found many charities around us to donate too but we are still looking.

Week 2

From the brown paper bag activity, I learned that a lot of my classmates relieve stress by listening to music. Also, a lot of people read books to relieve stress. Then for my group, we decided to do a 50/50 raffle at all of the home basketball games. We will try to hold the fundraiser at the games. And the money that we fundraise will go to either the Threshold or The Y as the places help people with mental/ physical disabilities.

Week 2

I learned that a lot of my classmates like to listen to music and play sports. I also learned that my group and I have some things in common, for example, we all enjoy playing sports.

Our team is going to sell Kewaskum wristbands. We will sell them at school sporting events, in the school, and possibly throughout Kewaskum.

I talked to my parents and one of my sisters about Main Street Philanthropy. They all thought that it is all a very good thing to be doing and will teach us very valuable things. They also said that this is a great opportunity for us.

Week 2

From the brown paper bag activity I learned that a lot of my classmates enjoy very similar things. Most of my classmates like to listen to music, play sports, and family and friends were also very important. My group decided to do a 50/50 raffle at all of the home basketball games and we will try to hold a fundraiser at the games. The money we fundraise will go to Threshold or the Y as these places help people with mental and physical disabilities.

Week 2

I learned that most people in the class like to listen to porn or are in some sort of videos also that the people in my group really care about their cause and are probably just going to contribute $50 dollars to the vets that we have.

Week 2

In doing the paper bag activity I have learned that a lot of our class has similar interests; family, friends, sports and music. Within my group, there is a variety of specific interests and talents, but we are all passionate about raising money for medical research, especially diabetes.

We have chosen to hold a 50/50 raffle at home wrestling meets and create a GoFundMe account to ask our family/friends/community members to donate to.

I have told my parents about this project and they think it is good to see my generation giving back to our community and the people in it. They hope to continue to see good things about this class and maybe even our group specifically in the near future. The third person I told was my aunt, who like our group member Calvin, has type 1 diabetes. She was excited to hear that we chose that cause to fundraise for because she could relate to Calvin with the difficulties that come with having the disease. She will likely donate to our GoFundMe and encourage people she knows to do so as well.

Week 2

I learned that people in my group like to do technical work, more specifically, work on their car. Our group will be doing either T-shirt sales or a group contribution of $50 per person in the group for our fundraiser, which is veteran support. All three people I told about Main Street Philanthropy said it was good to be giving back to those who gave us our freedoms.

Week 2

I learned that the majority of my classmates enjoys listening to music, friends and their team. This doesn’t come as much of a shock to me because, this community is very small and so close together that everyone values their time with their teammates and friends.

My group or team will be having a 90/70 raffle at the home wrestling matches. Also, we will be selling Seroogy chocolate candy bars that are a $1.50/piece until February.

After telling my sister Cassidy, who is a Junior at St. Norbert College, she responded by telling me that her minor in college is Leadership studies after I told her what the whole Leadership class was about. She proceeded to ask me who taught the class and that the class along with what we are doing in the Main Street Philanthropy part of the course positively reflects us and the community that we live in.
