Week 2

I learned that I don’t love sharing personal stuff about me, but I have a lot of things similar with my classmates. We have many of the same interests, with some things I didn’t expect. My team decided that we wanted to raise money for hunger-relief efforts, and we decided to do a bake sale at the Pig next Saturday. My family thinks this is a good idea, and are willing to help. Many of my friends are in this class, and think our fundraising idea is really good.
I also talked to Gabi Seidensticker, and she is very excited to take this class, because she is such a good person and loves helping others.

Week 2

From the brown paper bag activity, I learned that a lot of kids play sports and others listen to music. Then my group decided we were going to raise money for a charity that helps children with physical and mental disabilities. For the fundraiser we decided we would buy and sell wristbands. They were a huge hit last year and we hope they are this year also. We haven’t really found many charities around us to donate too but we are still looking.

Week 2

From the brown paper bag activity, I learned that a lot of my classmates relieve stress by listening to music. Also, a lot of people read books to relieve stress. Then for my group, we decided to do a 50/50 raffle at all of the home basketball games. We will try to hold the fundraiser at the games. And the money that we fundraise will go to either the Threshold or The Y as the places help people with mental/ physical disabilities.

Week 2

From the brown paper bag activity I learned that a lot of my classmates enjoy very similar things. Most of my classmates like to listen to music, play sports, and family and friends were also very important. My group decided to do a 50/50 raffle at all of the home basketball games and we will try to hold a fundraiser at the games. The money we fundraise will go to Threshold or the Y as these places help people with mental and physical disabilities.

Week 2

I learned that most people in the class like to listen to porn or are in some sort of videos also that the people in my group really care about their cause and are probably just going to contribute $50 dollars to the vets that we have.

Week 2

I learned that the majority of my classmates enjoys listening to music, friends and their team. This doesn’t come as much of a shock to me because, this community is very small and so close together that everyone values their time with their teammates and friends.

My group or team will be having a 90/70 raffle at the home wrestling matches. Also, we will be selling Seroogy chocolate candy bars that are a $1.50/piece until February.

After telling my sister Cassidy, who is a Junior at St. Norbert College, she responded by telling me that her minor in college is Leadership studies after I told her what the whole Leadership class was about. She proceeded to ask me who taught the class and that the class along with what we are doing in the Main Street Philanthropy part of the course positively reflects us and the community that we live in.

Week 2

From the paper bag exercise I learned that I value my pets quite a bit. I learned that my classmates really enjoy music. I am in group 4. Our idea was to either sell T-shirts or to all pitch in $50.00 because there is 6 of us. Therefore it would make $300.00. We thought about giving money because we all support the Veterans in our own way. Veteran services are important to our group so donating our self, in my opinion, would show we support ourselves.

Week 2

Because i was not here, if i would have been here i would have brought a picture of my cat, my phone and a picture of my family. These three things represent me because my friends, my family and my cat are all the things that i care about the most. I can’t say what i learned because i wasn’t here but from what I’ve read i see a lot of my peers really enjoy music. But in all honesty that was expected. My team decided my fundraiser will be to sell bracelets.

Week 2

I learned that a lot of my group members have the same thing in common, we all like listening to music as well as the rest of the class. My team will be making cookies and puppy chow after school this week and we will be selling them at Piggly Wiggly from 9am-1pm on saturday the 17th. All of our profits will be going to the food pantry. I’m going to eat all the cookies by myself.

Week 2

When we did the brown paper bag activity I realized that lots of people listen to music and own ear buds. Our group will be fundraising to raise money for the Kewaskum food Pantry from December 17th 9am to 1pm. I told my mother about it.
