Week 2

I learned that Brandi values friends very highly. Micheal values food in his life. Last but not least, Cole values baseball in his life.

We decided that we would help out a non-profit organization dealing with mental disabilities because all of us felt very inclined to help these kind of people out. We looked at Goodwill, Threshold, and the YMCA for possible donation spots. We will most likely donate the money to the Threshold because they help out a lot more disabled people. To raise money, we will run a 50/50 raffle at basketball games.

My father thinks this is a great organization and is excited to hear more from this. I told Seth Bartelt and he told me he did it in the past and said he had a blast doing it. I also talked to my boss about it and he said that it was a great way to donate during Christmas, because he donates money as well during the holidays.

Week 2

1. What people value and what they find important to them and that a lot of people like music.
2. 50/50 Raffle at wrestling matches.
3. 1. Mother, she really didn’t care about the whole philanthropy or Giving back thing… 2.dad- had to do it via email so he hasn’t gotten back to me yet… 3. Told one of my friends about it and his response was I will be taking the class next year…

I learned that a lot of our class likes music and/or is athletic. A lot of people brought in headphones and something from their sports.

Our team is going to sell wristbands and we are going to sell them through the school, maybe through the school store, at sporting events and maybe through the community.

I told my mom about Main Street and she thought it was an amazing program that benefited the community greatly. She thought that selling wristbands was also a great idea that would raise lots of money.

Week 2

During the brown paper bag activity i learned that a lot of people seemed to have earbuds and pictui learned that me and my group member have similar opinions on what should the money be raised for. My group has not yet decided what to do as a fundraiser yet but we will be raising money for the veterans of this community.

Week 2

During this “BROWN PAPER BAG” experiment I learned that i am very lazy because i didn’t bring anything in. I learned that a lot of people like money and food. Our fund raiser will be all of us donating 50$ to our cause or being ubers.

Week 2

Because I wasn’t here, I would have brought a picture of my family, my pets, and a tennis ball. These three things represent who I am. I care for my pets and they mean a lot to me. My family means a lot to me and I love them very much. I enjoy playing tennis and I am very good at it.

I learned from the brown paper bag activity that a lot of students in the class enjoy listening to music. I kind of expected this but i was still surprised that so many kids brought headphones. My teams fundraiser will be a 50/50 raffle, where we sell tickets at wrestling matches, and we will also be selling serogy bars before and after school

Week 2

During the brown paper bag activity, I learned that most of my classmates like to eat and listen to music. I also learned that most of my classmates like the same thing. We are going to sell wristbands to raise money for Kids that have medical disabilities. The wristbands are going to be sold for a dollar before school, after school and during lunch. I told my mom about Main Street Philanthropy and she thought it was a great program to be in.

Week 2

I learned that I don’t love sharing personal stuff about me, but I have a lot of things similar with my classmates. We have many of the same interests, with some things I didn’t expect. My team decided that we wanted to raise money for hunger-relief efforts, and we decided to do a bake sale at the Pig next Saturday. My family thinks this is a good idea, and are willing to help. Many of my friends are in this class, and think our fundraising idea is really good.
I also talked to Gabi Seidensticker, and she is very excited to take this class, because she is such a good person and loves helping others.
